Pixelands is a 2D block sandbox MMO where every world is owned by a player and nothing in it got there by accident. Dig, farm, fish, forge, wire it up, and trade with everyone else doing exactly the same thing.

What you actually do
A sandbox that remembers what you did to it
Worlds persist. Ownership persists. The economy is made of things other players dug up, grew, caught or crafted — there is no shop that invents items out of nothing.
Mine and build
Every block is breakable and placeable. Take a world down to the bedrock, or terraform it into something you would show people.
Own your world
World locks make a world yours. Hand out build rights to the people you trust and keep everyone else out.
Trade with anyone
Direct player trades, vending machines, and a player-run market. Prices are whatever people agree to pay.
Farm and crossbreed
Plant seeds, splice them, automate the whole operation with sprinklers and harvesters, and sell what comes out.
Fish competitively
Upgrade rods, chase weight records, and enter timed tournaments against everyone else on the server.
Forge and craft
Smelt ore, forge gear, reforge it for better rolls, and chase set bonuses worth building around.
Guilds and clash
Join a guild, level it up, and fight for placement in seasonal guild clashes.
Wire it up
Logic gates, sensors, teleporters and actuators. Build doors that open for the right people, or contraptions nobody asked for.

Where to play
Pixelands is free to play. Creating an account is optional to start — you can jump straight in as a guest and register later without losing progress.

The desktop client is the full experience and is where the game is developed and tested first.
